Payment Options
Payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients’ needs and customer service and minimize costs, we do not bill. Here at River Ridge Animal Hospital, we accept many different payment options, including all major credit cards, debit cards, cash, check, and CareCredit. The owner of the card must sign all cards.

CareCredit
When unexpected illness strikes a pet, unexpected expense also strikes. riverridgevets.com understands this and can make some special arrangements through the CareCredit program. It takes just 5 minutes to complete an application and will allow you to break down your payment into six monthly installments. You can either apply at our hospital, where we’ll call in your application over the phone for immediate approval, or apply yourself online at www.CareCredit.com.
Highlights of the CareCredit Program
- Low Monthly Payments (3% of the Total Balance)
- Interest-Free For 6 Months (for invoices over $200.00)
- Determine Approval in a Few Minutes
- No Annual Fee
Insurance for Your Pets
Another popular option for your family and pet is insurance coverage. To learn more, please visit the following pet insurance websites.
Payment Policy
We make every effort to ensure that all fees are fair; you are encouraged to discuss charges before services are rendered. We accept cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and CareCredit. This hospital’s policy is that all fees are due at the time of service. If your pet needs extended hospital care, a deposit will be required at the time of admission to the hospital.
We Now Accept CareCredit
CareCredit is similar to other credit cards that you can use at veterinary or healthcare facilities that accept them. The difference between CareCredit and other major credit card companies is that they offer various no interest plans as long as you pay the required minimum monthly payment and pay in full by the end of the financing terms.
Every healthcare facility may offer different plans. We are offering two of their plans. For bills over $200, we offer no interest if paid within 6 months, or for bills over $1000, we offer a 24-month fixed interest plan. For more information or to apply for CareCredit, please visit their website.
Another option to consider is pet insurance. Owners can purchase pet insurance to help manage the cost of their pet’s annual health care and for protection if their pet becomes sick or injured. Your pet insurance company will not directly pay River Ridge Animal Hospital. Instead, you must pay in full at your visit and then submit a claim to your insurance company for reimbursement. We will be happy to assist you in completing your claim form. One of the companies available is Nationwide Pet Insurance. Call (866) 838-7387 or visit the Pet Insurance website. Pet insurance works well with CareCredit. You pay for a visit with CareCredit and submit your insurance claim. Then, you can pay for CareCredit with your insurance reimbursement.
